Andrea Rozenberszki

Enamel Artist

The Artist

My name is Andrea Rozenberszki. I was born on the 26th of April 1970 in Tiszaföldvár, eastern Hungary. Even as a small child I loved to draw. With my uplifting, cheerful works I tried every day to make my family happy.

Later I always helped my mother, who was a teacher, in the preparation of teaching material, so I could satisfy my desire for creativity this way. During the period of elementary and secondary school, I took part in various drawing competitions and art circles. Later, at college, I chose my major in "Art and Drawing". Afterwards, I taught 6-10 year old children.

In 1999, as a companion educator, I attended a creative workshop where artists work with children. They urged me to take up drawing again and I applied for studies in the Department of Art at the University of Szombathely. During the university years, I was given insight into the secrets of enamel techniques. From that time onward, I always sought ways for deepen my understanding of enameling. Since 2003, every summer I spend 10 days in an enamel-training camp and every time I try to learn something new about this beautiful and versatile art form.
